July 2019 saw some team members take some well-earned leave whilst the sun shined in the northern hemisphere. Never fear, others of us huddled ever-closer to their respective digital devices for warmth, and carried on evolving the Cxense platform!
This release includes a huge list of stability and performance improvements, whilst we put the final touches on supporting multiple 'native' products and types throughout the Cxense Conversion Engine platform.
Needless to say we are ever-so-excited as we approach multi-product launch, though others still are arguably more excited for the upcoming launch of the per-position, multi-site updates incoming for Cxense Content & CCE personalization capabilities.
Whichever is most important to you, here's the list of newly deployed updates for this release:
- Multi-Product readiness enhancements
- Version History Improvements
- Stability improvements to in-app Preview view
- Improvements to Engage & Content module templates using custom styling/themes
- Improved view state for Group & Site Overviews
- Improved 'back button' action for report views
- Improved module edit / cancel edge cases
- Date range selector improvements
- Enhanced Published Content indicator
- Improved error state handling
- Continued translation improvements
- Application pre/post test enhancements
- App performance improvements
Multi-Product readiness enhancements
As per previous release notes' posts, we're readying for the multi-product release. This is a great time to again thank all Customers who have taken part in the alpha/beta roll outs for making the product even more robust and capable.
Core function first - the above screenshot showcases the W.I.P. Product Management view.
In readiness for launch, we now see integrated multi-product/type reporting and are focused on documentation details and examples.
Having these new features available in Cxense Conversion Engine is great, though it is also important to have full visibility and information available to aid updates, and reduce confusion or roll out issues.
Given the impact of moving to the enhanced conversion handling and the obvious impact of conversion metrics have on business directives, we are proceeding with extreme caution with regard to data validation across our ever-expanding Customer base on the Cxense Conversion Engine platform.
Thanks again for your patience - not long now !
Version History Improvements
Generally speaking, the Version history function in CCE is often overlooked - that is until of course you made a mistake, and need to roll back in a hurry...
When something goes wrong, you can rest assured it is ever-so easy to rollback a recent change.
- Click Settings
- Click Versions and History
- Identify a previous version, click the 'Show Diff' icon for the Version
- Review the changes
- Select Rollback !
In this deployment, we added an additional capability: The Current 'Show Diff' view shows differences against current version only. This is great to compare the latest against any other version. However sometimes, it can help to compare a version with it's previous counterpart - irrespective of the latest (current) version.
Now, you can compare the selected version against either the current version or the version previous to the one you had selected.
Keeping up to date
Lastly, a reminder that if you signup to the Cxense support portal, you can 'follow' an section. This is beneficial for keeping up to date with both release notes and any other platform issues or outages.
We have incredible up-time, robustness, and stability, though we're not impervious to the impact of hardware failures, ever-expanding growth of our platform, and internet slowdowns. It's always a good idea to follow service status for your products so you can keep informed!
Be sure to follow the section - not just individual articles.
