How do I target my audience?

Cxense Ad supports Targeting an Audience using via:
AdSpace Targeting, Interest Categories, Day Parting, Device Type, Geography, Keywords, ReTargeting, and Site Targeting.

The following steps assume the Campaign's Product has been configured to support the appropriate Audience Targeting options (Audience Targeting on campaigns and Ads is configured on a per-product basis)

AdSpace Targeting

  1. Click Add some AdSpaces Now
  2. Type in the AdSpace Name field, and select AdSpace(s) that autocomplete.

Your Campaign or Ad is now targeted to specific AdSpaces.

Interest Category Targeting

  1. Click Add some Categories now
  2. Browse the Category Tree, adding intended Audience interest categories

Your Campaign or Ad is now targeted to End User's Interest Categories.

Day Parting

  1. Choose a campaign with Day Parting available
  2. Click the Day Parting Tab
  3. Click Add some Day Parting now

Note you can configure Active Days (choose which days your ads should be shown), or Day Parting (choose what time(s) of day your ads will be shown.)

Active Days

  1. DeSelect any days which do not want your ads to be shown
  2. For each selected item, choose what times of day you wish your ads to be shown.

Your Campaign or Ad is now targeted with 'Active Days' Parting.

Day Parting

  1. Choose a start time of day you wish your ads to be shown
  2. Choose an end time for your ads to be shown
  3. for additional Day parts, click Add Another, and repeat the previous two steps.

Your Campaign or Ad is now targeted with 'Day Parting'.

Device Targeting

  1. Click Add some Devices now

Select Platform Targeting

  1. Choose any or all Platforms to target using the toggle buttons

Select Operating System Targeting

  1. Choose any or all Operating Systems to target using the toggle buttons

Select Brand Targeting

  1. Choose any or all Device Brands to target using the toggle buttons

Review the dynamic 'Targeting Summary' component to view the summary of your Device Targeting selections

Geographic Targeting

  1. Choose a campaign with Geographic Targeting available
  2. Click the Geography Tab
  3. Click Add some geographies now
  4. Type a location in the search field
  5. Click on a search result to add that geographical location

Your campaign/ ad is now geo-targeted to the locations you specified.

Keyword Targeting

  1. Click Add some Keywords now
  2. Type some keywords into the keywords text box, one per line. Use inline match types or select the match types for the keywords you have entered
  3. Select the keyword language and bid amount
  4. Click Add Keywords

Your Campaign or Ad is now targeted using Keywords.

ReTargeting

  1. Click Add some Retargeting now

Custom Retargeting

  1. Enter descriptions of events you wish to retarget on, click Add
  2. Select one or more event descriptions to bid on
  3. Choose to combine all selected items or add them individually, adding a bid amount then click Add Tags.
  4. Click Download Javascript to download the Retargeting tags.
  5. Add each Tag to the appropriate place within your website code

Your Campaigns or Ad is now targeted using Custom Retargeting.

Specified Retargeting

  1. Select one or more event descriptions to bid on
  2. Choose to combine all selected items or add them individually, adding a bid amount then click Add Tags.
  3. Click Download Javascript to download the Retargeting tags.
  4. Add each Tag to the appropriate place within your website code

Your Campaigns or Ad is now targeted using Specified Retargeting.

Site Targeting

  1. Click Add some Site Targeing now
  2. Type in one or more Websites/ Domains
  3. Choose whether to Target or block the list of Added Sites/Domains
  4. Click the Add Sites button

Your Campaign or Ad is now targeted top specific Devices, Platforms, Brands, and/or Operating Systems.
